16 EU Foreign Ministers urge EU to label differently Israeli settlement products

A letter, signed by 16 foreign ministers, urges the European foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini to clearly distinguish products sold in the European Union that are made in Israel from those made in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. (New York Times)

The letter is signed by EU Foreign Ministers from: France, Britain, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Malta, Austria, Ireland, Portugal, Slovenia, Hungary, Finland, Denmark, The Netherlands and Luxembourg. (Haaretz)

“They can take a yellow star and mark all the product from Judea and Samaria and the Golan Heights with a yellow star,” Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman said, a pointed reference to the star Jews were forced by the Nazis to wear during the second World War. (Jerusalem Post)
