France preparing draft for UN resolution on Palestine

France sees a window of opportunity after Israel’s elections to get the United States on board with a new push for Mideast peace, and is preparing a draft UN Security Council resolution on Palestine in about 12 days, according to French diplomatic officials. (Times of Israel)

France was working on a similar resolution in December, when the Palestinians presented their own draft to the Security Council, which was defeated after it didn’t garner the necessary votes. (Wall Street Journal)
