French Interior Minister Cazeneuve ready to sacrifice privacy for security

Bernard Cazeneuve, French Interior Affairs Minister, declared to agree on the establishment of the Passenger Name Record programme that would track data on all travellers passing through a European airport. “A balance between security and the protection of individual liberties can be found” he said at the French National Assembly on Tuesday, “even though, thanks to the rules of the Schengen treaty, arrests could not be performed anyway”.
