Is ‘European left’ loosing its internationalism?

With Syriza in Greece and Podemos in Spain, there is a new political course in Europe: the left movements are leaving their internationalism aside in favor of national policies and people’s interests. Tsipras, during his electoral campaign, was defending ‘Greeks roots’ and ‘People’s values’ against ‘European policies’ which are undermining Greek identity. In Spain, Podemos‘ leader Pablo Iglesias (who has strong ties with Venezuala’s Chavez) strongly criticised the internationalism of the European Union that is defending the interest of few countries against the interests of Spanish citizens.
