Italy: “Blu quota” to defend men in politics

After the “pink quota” to advantage women to get some political position, now is the turn of the “blu quota“. The South Tyrolean People’s Party in South Tyrol, autonomous province in northern Italy, has only appointed women for the local election in autumn 2018. However, the rules oblige to put at least one candidate of the so-called “weaker sex“, in this case a man, local newspaper Dolomiten reports.
