European Commission representatives expressed their concerns Renzi’s pledge to abolish the IMU and Tasi taxes (‘House taxes’) on Wednesday. But the Italian PM immediately replied that “Somebody in Brussels thinks to draw up the list of taxes to cut“. “I hope this was because of the heat, it is up to us to decide which taxes to cut, not Brussels!” (Repubblica, Gazzetta del Sud)
