Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his conservative party have told the 86-year-old financier, philanthropist and political power player Soros his many nonprofit organizations are not welcome. Szilard Nemeth, a senior figures in Fidesz, this week repeated calls for human rights groups supported by OSF to be “swept out of the country”, deepening western fears of a clampdown on civil society in Hungary — which Mr Orban has proclaimed as the EU’s first “illiberal democracy.” (Financial Times)

Trump also accused the 86-year-old billionaire of being part of “a global power structure that is responsible for the economic decisions that have robbed our working class, stripped our country of its wealth and put that money into the pockets of a handful of large corporations and political entities.” (Bloomberg)
