Oxford changes its history curriculum because ‘too white’

Oxford University students will now have to take a paper on black or Asian history after complaints the curriculum was ‘too white’.

The syllabus change comes as universities across the country faced protests as part of the ‘Why is my curriculum white?’ campaign.

History students at Oxford University will have to take now an exam paper on non-British, non-European topics after a major shakeup in the curriculum, The Guardian reports.

Oxford University previously replaced portraits of male alumni to be more ‘politically correct’ and some University students demanded philosophers such as Plato and Kant are removed because they are white.
