Pro-IS song played after Swedish radio station hacked

A Swedish radio station has been hijacked by a pirate broadcaster who blasted out Islamic State recruitment propaganda. During the hack on Mix Megapol’s morning show, an English language pop song urging Westerners to join the terror group was aired, Sky News reports.

“Somebody interfered with our frequency using a pirate transmitter,” Jakob Gravestam, Marketing Director at Bauer Media Group, which owns Mix Megapol, said in a press release.

Mix Megapol is a commercial station which normally plays hits from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.
