Rome nursery scraps mother’s and father’s day not to discriminate gay couples

(ANSA) – A nursery in Rome has scrapped mother’s and father’s day because they allegedly discriminate against gays.  Parents have protested at the decision, taken at the behest of a gay couple, to set up a “more inclusive” family day instead of the “ideological” parents’ days.

This is the decision of the Chicco di Grano nursery in the “Ardeatino” area of Rome.  The local municipality defended the decision of the nursery calling the “mother’s and father’s day” ideological celebrations, TgCom24 reports.
