Sweden: Radical extremism has soared from hundreds to thousands now

The number of militant extremists living in Sweden has soared from a couple of hundreds a few years ago to thousands today, the chief of the Swedish Security Service steted.

We have never seen anything like it before,” said Säpo chief Anders Thornberg in an interview with Swedish news agency TT and reported by TheLocal.se. “We would say that it has gone from hundreds to thousands now,” said Thornberg.

There are 50,000/60,000 rejected asylum seekers who have gone underground, including 3,000 in the Stockholm region,” Magnus Ranstorp, the head of terrorism research at the Swedish Defense University, previously said when interviewed by La Repubblica.
