Ukraine PM Yatsenyuk’s past as a volunteer in Chechenya

The head of Russia’s Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin during an interview to RgRu said that “…according to the investigation, Ukrainian PM Yatsenyuk took part in at least two of the armed clashes one in 1994 and another in 1995 in Grozny, as well as torture and executions of POWs Russian army in the Oktyabrsky district of Grozny on Jan. 7, 1995. According to our sources, Yatsenyuk among other active members of the UNA – UNSO in December 1995 was awarded the highest award of Dzhokhar Dudayev “The honor of the nation” for the destruction of Russian troops”.
