Yemen watch: deadliest week ahead to the truce

Nearly 200 civilians have died in Yemen in the past week, as the country has seen its deadliest period since the Saudi-led campaign broke out in late March earlier this year, according to figures released by the UN human rights office (OHCHR).

Meanwhile, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, arrived in the capital, San’a, where he plans to meet the various Yemeni parties, in particular Ansarullah representatives.

Also Human Rights Watch stated that the “Saudi Arabia-led coalition’s blockade of Yemen is keeping out fuel needed for the Yemeni population’s survival in violation of the laws of war”.
